In Schaumburg, urgent care centers are busiest on weekends and evenings when doctors' offices are closed, and most post their wait times online. Across Illinois, primary care practices often have a waitlist for new patients, so establishing care before you need it saves time. For a dental emergency outside office hours, an urgent care center can prescribe antibiotics and pain relief but cannot fix the tooth; a hospital emergency room can treat swelling that affects breathing or swallowing. Check the listing for insurance, hours and whether telehealth visits are offered.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 9 am–6 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (847) 490-0600. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is horizonmedcenter.net, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Terrible staff. My mom needed an ekg and they would not give her an appointment, told her walk ins only. We went in on a Saturday they turned her away and told her to return on Monday. She went in on Monday they made her sit for 45 min and then told her it can’t be done that day- they don’t have staff and asked her to return on Wednesday. She went back on Wednesday and they told her they could not do her ekg that day and she should return on the following Monday. She was furious and after expressing her frustration they finally took her back. Mind you the test took only 5-7 min. No patient should have to be tossed around like this.

After the departure of Dr Dabawala and the change of staff, the service at this clinic has become horrible. There is no sense of responsibility. I had blood work done and they gave a site to see the results but I kept getting the run around from the tech support of the site and the Horizon medical center front desk to get results. The front desk staff is rude and does not follow up on requests or prescriptions. Avoid going at this clinic now....and save your self headaches.....

I called Horison Medical Center to schedule a yearly check-up and blood work for my husband, and the experience was nothing short of exasperating. I was on hold for what felt like an eternity, only to be met with a receptionist whose behavior was highly unprofessional and dismissive. My husband has been a long-time patient of Dr. Dewalala, an excellent doctor who, before retiring, recommended Dr. Alla. Yet the receptionist seemed completely unwilling to help me schedule with Dr. Alla and acted as though she couldn’t understand a straightforward request. When I politely asked for her name, she initially gave me a vague answer and grew visibly frustrated when I pressed further. After insisting, she finally admitted her name was Reenaβ€”but the interaction felt unnecessarily tense and difficult. Communicating was also a struggle due to her heavy accent, which made the conversation frustrating, though I would never judge anyone for their way of speaking. To make matters worse, when I inquired about the cost of a self-paid visit and blood work, she responded curtly, β€œit all depends,” in a way that felt almost hostile. After 30 long minutes of navigating this unpleasant interaction, I was

Horizon medical center has done nothing but disappoint. The staff will put you on hold for over ten minutes and then end the call without speaking to you. Requests for prescription refill are never done promptly and take 3-4 days worth of calls to get it done. When asked about seeing bloodwork results, they say it’s on the portal (spoiler alert: it’s not!) and they have been milking the same excuse about switching electronic health records system for maybe 9 months now. Wha kind of medical practice takes 9 months to adjust to a new medical system? Moreover, the doctors don’t listen to your complaints snd simply dismiss you or patronize you (that is, after enduring 45 minute wait times in the stuffy waiting room). I’ve gone to the doctor with the same chief complaint for 3-4 years and mention it at every physical, but she’s chosen to dismiss it as seasonal allergies or say it’s not a real concern. All of a sudden, she decided to come to the same conclusion on her own, but it took her 4 years to get there. This level of medical care is deeply concerning, frustrating, and has resulted in me switching care. Their positive reviews are misleading and written by family & friends who have

Dr Patel is good, but the front desk staff of this office makes this entire facility unusable. From lost prescriptions to inaccurate information to a culture of pure apathy, including hanging up in the middle of a discussion - there’s really no way to get adequate service here. Often the answering service is all that’s available during office hours and when I do reach a staff member, I’ve had to call back and speak to different staff over five times sometimes on the same issue. It’s pure incompetence and apathy mixed together. I recommend you take your business elsewhere.
